Carolyn L. Williamson
December 2, 1946 — August 26, 2026
Carolyn L. Williamson, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on August 26, 2026. Born on December 2, 1946, in Mansfield, Louisiana, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of Lee Williamson and Dorothy Slingerland Williamson, who preceded her in death.
Carolyn's life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and kindness. She shared 57 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Ronald Dill. Together, they built a life filled with joy and warmth, raising their sons, Morgan Dill and Matthew Dill, who, along with his wife Roxie, carry forward the family legacy. Carolyn's heart was further blessed with her three grandchildren, Bronx Dill, Evan Peters, and Brooklin Johnson, and her three great-grandchildren, Drake Johnson, Slade Johnson, and Piper Johnson, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life.
A woman of deep faith, Carolyn was a devoted member of the Baptist Faith Church, where she found solace and community. Her professional life was spent nurturing a love of knowledge and learning as a librarian in her hometown of Mansfield, LA. Her passion for books and education left an indelible mark on the countless lives she touched through her work.
Carolyn's interests were as varied as they were vibrant. She found peace in the pages of a good book, joy in the stitches of her sewing, relaxation in the stories told through movies, and tranquility in the quiet moments spent fishing. These pursuits were not merely hobbies but reflections of a life lived fully and with intention.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Diane Lollar, Terry Dill, and Nita Cuervo, who shared in the laughter and memories of a lifetime. Carolyn's family and friends will forever remember her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the unwavering love she bestowed upon those around her.
Carolyn's life will be celebrated in a manner befitting the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Carolyn's enduring legacy of giving and compassion.
