In Loving Memory

Carolyn Joyce holland
November 20, 1958 — May 11, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Carolyn Joyce Holland, who left this world peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Carolyn was born on November 20, 1958, in the warm embrace of Mississippi, a place that she called home for much of her life.
Carolyn was the cherished daughter of the late Fannie Lou Holland, whose love and values she carried throughout her life. Though she has now joined her dear mother and her beloved son, Keenan Dennereo Holland Sr., in eternal rest, Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted children, who were the pride and joy of her life: her sons, Quintrell Wooden, and her daughters, Imonie Nichole Holland and Kyari Yvette Holland. Carolyn also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Keenan D. Holland Jr. and Quinisha Joyce Holland, who brought immense joy to her life. Her love and lessons will continue to guide them, along with her two great-grandchildren, who will grow up hearing tales of their remarkable great-grandmother.
Carolyn dedicated her life to the noble and rewarding role of a stay-at-home mother. She poured her heart into creating a warm and nurturing home where laughter was abundant and love was unconditional. Her home was often filled with the tantalizing aroma of her cooking, as she loved nothing more than gathering her family and friends for a lively party, where joy and togetherness reigned supreme.
Known for her vivacious spirit, Carolyn was a woman of many facets—funny, sassy, and at times delightfully crazy, yet always profoundly loving. Her laughter was infectious, her stories legendary, and her ability to bring people together unparalleled. Her door was always open, her table always set, and her heart always welcoming.
Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, Carolyn's spirit will forever remain a guiding light for her family and friends. Her legacy is one of boundless love, cherished memories, and the strength of family bonds. She taught us the true meaning of resilience, humor, and warmth, and she will be remembered for the love she gave and the good times she created.
As we say goodbye to Carolyn, we find comfort in knowing that she has found peace and is reunited with those she dearly loved. Her life will be celebrated in a private family service, where her memory will be honored and her zest for life cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Carolyn’s memory do so by gathering with loved ones, cooking a favorite meal, sharing a laugh, and embracing the joy of togetherness—just as she would have wanted.
Rest in peace, dear Carolyn. You will forever be in our hearts.
