Carolyn Jones, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on November 12, 1949, in Thomasville, North Carolina, Carolyn brought joy and warmth to everyone she met throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Carolyn was a spirited woman, known for her zest for life and her unwavering love for her family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Bracy Tyrone Jones and Alden Dwayne Sutton, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her siblings, James E. Jones and Jerry L. Young, shared many beautiful moments with her, and they will deeply miss her laughter and companionship. As a grandmother, Carolyn was adored by her six grandchildren: Courtney Marsh, Brandy Jones, Dante Hill, Alisheia Lowery, Talia Jones, and Brie Jones. Her love extended even further to her five great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness and hope for the future. Carolyn's family also included numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends who all held a special place in her heart. In her spare time, Carolyn was always on the move, enjoying trips with friends to Cherokee or relaxing at home with her favorite soap operas. She had an infectious love for music and dancing, with "Rock With Me Tonight" being one of her most treasured songs. It was a common sight to see her dancing joyfully whenever her favorite tunes played, often joined by those she loved. Carolyn's vibrant spirit and genuine love for people defined her life. She was a beacon of positivity and warmth, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a comforting smile. Her friendships were deep and lasting, as she had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. A service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held on July 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, located at 106 Smith Street, Thomasville, North Carolina 27360. Friends and family are welcome to join as we honor a life well-lived and a woman who touched so many hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carolyn's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
