With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Beard, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on May 28, 2026. Born on January 23, 1963, in Monroe, Louisiana, Carolyn graced this world with her presence, bringing joy and love to everyone who knew her.
Carolyn was the cherished daughter of Johnny Lee Beard and Eula Mae Beard, who have preceded her in death, along with her beloved daughter, Shakedra Beard. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by her devoted children Yolanda Beard, Terrance Beard, and Gonzales Beard, along with his wife, Sheniko Beard. Carolyn was a proud and doting grandmother to Kieyanna Tribble, Kiearaa Tribble, Kieaa Tribble, Jaime Flentroy Jr., Julianna Hendrix, M’kenzie Martin, Gonzales Beard Jr., and Gavin Beard. Her love extended further to her great-grandchildren and a host of siblings, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Carolyn had an extraordinary ability to fill a room with warmth, thanks to her contagious and beautiful smile. She was known for her love of cooking and enjoyed hosting family gatherings, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Whether she was spending time with her siblings, traveling, or shopping at local flea markets and Dollar Tree stores, Carolyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She was a beacon of love and strength, always there to offer a listening ear or an encouraging word. Her presence in our lives was a blessing that we will forever hold in our hearts.
A service to celebrate Carolyn's remarkable life will be held on June 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Hesters Funeral Home, located at 811 Louise Anne Avenue, Monroe, LA 71201. The family invites all who knew and loved Carolyn to join in honoring her life and legacy.
Carolyn Beard's departure from this world leaves an irreplaceable void, but her spirit and the love she shared will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of those who have gone before her.
