It is with profound sadness and heartfelt admiration that we announce the passing of Carolyn Ann Davis, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world on September 2, 2026. Born on April 13, 1946, in Weleetka, Oklahoma, Carolyn was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and resilience throughout her remarkable 80 years. Carolyn was the cherished daughter of John Andrew Dunn and Teola Lee (Maxwell) Dunn, who instilled in her the values of faith and generosity that she carried throughout her life. She is predeceased by her loving husband, James Davis; her parents, John and Teola; her brothers, John, Robert, and Marvin Dunn; and her grandson, James Davis Jr. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her siblings, Kathy Robinson, Karen Dunn, and Wilbert Dunn; her devoted children, Kenneth Davis, James Davis, Carl Orr, and Carla Orr Palmer; and her 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Carolyn's career spanned over two decades at Del Monte in upper management, where she was known for her diligence and determination. Upon retiring, she channeled her passion for nurturing others into a fulfilling career in education, enriching the lives of countless students until her health began to wane. A woman of unwavering faith, Carolyn was a pillar of her church community, where she not only raised her family but also cultivated a nurturing environment of love and support. Her commitment to service was evident through her active participation in numerous community groups, where she worked tirelessly to uplift those around her. Her compassionate heart led her to regularly donate food to those in need, ensuring no one went unnoticed or hungry. Carolyn's zest for life was reflected in her love of thrifting and fashion, always on the hunt for the perfect addition to her home's décor or her wardrobe. Her impeccable style and flair were second only to her ability to connect with people, a true gift that left her with cherished friends from every chapter of her life. Even as dementia faded her memory in her final years, it could never diminish the love she held for her family or the indelible legacy she leaves behind. Her family fondly remembers her vibrant spirit and the love she showered upon them, a testament to her enduring impact on their lives. A service to honor Carolyn's extraordinary life will be held on September 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Atlanta Mortuary Services, located at 5406 E. Mountain Street, Stone Mountain, GA. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Masalon's Personal Care Home for their exceptional care and compassion during Carolyn's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carolyn's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of giving and kindness. Though dementia challenged her memory later in life, it could never diminish the beautiful impact she made on the world or the legacy of kindness she leaves behind. Carolyn Ann Davis will be dearly missed, but her love and generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
