Caroline Young

Caroline Young, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devout woman of faith, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2026. Caroline was born on January 4, 1940, in Venice, Alberta, Canada, and from a young age, she exhibited a remarkable spirit of kindness and dedication that would shape every aspect of her life. Caroline was the cherished wife of Carl Raymond Young, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage that began on December 2, 1956, in Coos Bay, Oregon. Together, they built a family founded on love, strength, and faith. Caroline is survived by her children, Carl Young and his wife Kim Young, Brenda Sims, Patty Quinlan, and Karen Cunningham along with her husband Daniel Cunningham. Her legacy includes a large and loving family of 20 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Caroline dedicated herself to her career as a kitchen supervisor, where her tireless work ethic and warm heart left an indelible impact on everyone she worked with. A proud member of the Church of God of Prophecy for many years, she was a Bible-believing woman whose faith guided her every step. Caroline even pastored a church in Port Orchard, Washington, for a brief time, sharing her spiritual wisdom and compassion with her community. Her life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family and her profound belief in the power of faith and love. Predeceased by her parents, Clarence Mack and Viola Sandborn , Caroline's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A service to celebrate Caroline's life will be held on November 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Roses, located at 965 W. Harvard Ave, Roseburg, Oregon. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Caroline. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the caregivers and hospice staff, as well as to everyone who visited and supported Caroline during her final days. Caroline Young's life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and family. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her.
