CAROLINE CHRONOPOULOS

May 1, 1935 — July 1, 2026

Caroline Chronopoulos, lovingly known as "Carrie" to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at AccentCare Hospice of Pinellas County after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 91 years old. Born on May 1, 1935, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Caroline was the cherished daughter of Lawrence Raymond and Jesse Rae (Earle) Culp. Carrie's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, faith, and creativity. She spent her early years in Lowell, where she developed a passion for art and a deep, abiding faith in God. She attended Houghton College for a time before dedicating herself to a new adventure by joining the United States Marine Corps. It was during her service that she met the love of her life, Charles Chronopoulos. The two were married on August 20, 1955, at Parris Island, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Carrie's artistic talent blossomed over the years, and she became an accomplished artist and muralist, leaving behind a legacy of beauty and inspiration. Her artistic expression was paralleled only by her unwavering faith. A devout Christian, Carrie was a longtime member of the Nazarene church, attending both Lowell First Church of the Nazarene in Massachusetts and Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Spring Hill, Florida. Her faith journey continued as a communicant of the Berean Assembly in Spring Hill, where she shared her love for Jesus through teaching the Bible. Preceded in death by her parents, infant brother LeBaron, sister Betty Rae Stevick, her beloved husband Charles Chronopoulos, and her son-in-law Michael Chevalier, Carrie leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. She is survived by her devoted daughter Charlene Chevalier; sons Charles "Chuck" Chronopoulos and his spouse, Sandra (Hattenburg), and Christopher Chronopoulos and his spouse, Nina (Betz). Her grandchildren, Aimee Chevalier, Charlie Chronopoulos and his spouse, Corinne (Erickson), Chelsea Galvin and her spouse, Dan Galvin, Joshua Chronopoulos and his spouse, Kristine (Costello), and Ashley Smith and her spouse, Dan Smith, along with her great-grandchildren, Alexander, Counsel, Will, Madison, Colette "Coco," Eloise, and Emmitt, will cherish her memory and the warmth of her love. Carrie's life was a testament to loving kindness, generosity, and faithfulness, embodying the virtues of the true Proverb woman. Her strength and grace touched the lives of many, and she will be profoundly missed by her beloved cousins, nephews and nieces, her many friends, and her brothers and sisters in the Lord. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Carrie's life, in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made in her memory to Samaritan's Purse, an organization close to Carrie's heart, at Samaritan's Purse Donations. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Denson and the staff of ACTC, the compassionate doctors and nurses of AccentCare Hospice in Pinellas County, and their very special angel, Josephine Roberts. Your kindness and care for our beloved mother will never be forgotten. Carrie's journey on this earth has ended, but her legacy of love and faith will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
