Caroline Ann Minnis
April 15, 1944 — June 20, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Caroline Ann Minnis, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. Caroline departed this world peacefully on June 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering faith. She graced this earth for 82 beautiful years, born on April 15, 1944, in St. Johns, Michigan, to Earl and Lula Jastram.
Caroline was the epitome of grace and warmth, a woman who loved everyone she met and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her kind spirit and compassionate nature were renowned throughout her community. A devoted and loving farmer's wife and homemaker, she worked tirelessly alongside her husband, Carl Minnis, tending to their farm, cutting and baling hay, and ensuring the success of their endeavors. It was not uncommon to see her sitting on a tractor in a field with her sun hat on, reading a book, waiting for someone to pick up a wagon, or broken down in the field.
A woman of strong faith, Caroline spent her life serving others, including many years delivering meals for Meals on Wheels. She also gave faithfully to many charities. Her generosity and love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of countless individuals in need.
Caroline's passions included reading, solving puzzles, and traveling in her younger years. She was known for her love of games, especially euchre, which she played with joy alongside family and friends. She also had a passion for making her home beautiful, but comfortable. She loved looking at home decor magazines and adding things to her own home. Her home was a place of warmth and laughter, where memories were made and cherished.
Caroline is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Carl Minnis, who stood by her side through every chapter of their shared journey. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Christy Minnis, and her spouse, Randy Bontrager, and her son, Chad Minnis, and his spouse, Evelyn Minnis. Her legacy continues through her three treasured grandchildren, Calvin, Cole, and Reanna Minnis, who were the light of her life.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Earl and Lula Jastram, as well as her siblings, Edna Mae Boak, Leonard Jastram, and Gerald Jastram, all of whom she is joyfully reunited with in the hereafter.
In memory of Caroline's generous spirit and to continue her legacy of helping others, the family kindly requests donations to Lutheran World Relief, an organization close to her heart. Contributions can be made to Lutheran World Relief at this link, or directly at the organization's website.
As we celebrate the life of Caroline Ann Minnis, we remember her not only for her contributions to her family and community but for the love she shared with everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten, living on in the hearts and memories of all those she touched.
