Caroldean Emanuel Stenzel

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Caroldean Emanuel Stenzel, lovingly known as Carol, who left this world on July 5, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on March 22, 1942, in the heart of Trego County, Kansas, Carol was the beloved son of Emanuel and Caroline Stenzel. He was preceded in death by his cherished parents and his dear brother, Ronald Stenzel.
Carol's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and joy. He shared nearly 62 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Judith Anne, whom he married on August 7, 1964. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and laughter, welcoming three children into their hearts: Kristi Stenzel Martin, married to Brian Martin; Scott Daryl Stenzel, married to Michele Miller Stenzel; and Wendy Stenzel Oleston, married to Ryan Oleston. Carol was a proud grandfather to five adoring grandchildren: Alyssa Martin, Reiley Martin, Jake Stenzel, Brett Oleston, and Caroline Oleston.
Carol's educational journey began at Trego County High School, where he graduated in 1959. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Bethany College and pursued graduate studies at Oklahoma State. His commitment to serving his country was evident in his military service, where he rose to the rank of Captain in the Air Force.
Professionally, Carol worked as a dedicated Systems Analyst for DuPont, where he made significant contributions throughout his career. Outside of work, Carol had a passion for farming and was known for raising Belted Galloway cows on his farm in Lexington. He was also an active member of the local church community and a proud participant in the Blue Bird Club.
Carol possessed a vibrant spirit, known for his infectious laughter and love of a good joke. He was a trivia and corn hole champion and an avid reader with a deep appreciation for history. His joy for life was evident to all who knew him.
In honoring Carol's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Friendship Richfield Living and Good Samaritan Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory can be made to Habitat for Humanity International Inc., located in Americus, GA, as a tribute to his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
Carol's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family and community will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
