Carol Simonetta

January 6, 1941 — October 7, 2026

Carol Simonetta, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 7, 2026. Born on January 6, 1941, to Helen and Gerald Weissinger, Carol's life was a testament to love, dedication, and service to others. Carol's compassionate nature was evident early on in her career. After graduating from Neshaminy High School, she pursued her calling in nursing at the Abington School of Nursing. Her passion for learning led her to continue her education, eventually earning a bachelor's degree from the College of St. Francis. For over 30 years, Carol devoted her skills as a registered nurse at Abington Hospital, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and expertise. After her tenure at Abington, she ventured into real estate with her beloved husband, Salvatore Simonetta, whom she wed on October 20, 1962. However, her unwavering dedication to helping others drew her back to healthcare, where she served as a nursing coordinator with The Philadelphia Corporation for Aging until her retirement. Carol was a woman of many talents and interests. She was an active member of the choir at Saint Davids Church, where her melodious voice was a source of joy and inspiration. Her love for gardening was well known, particularly her award-winning tomatoes, which she tended with great care in her garden. Carol found delight in thrifting and had a remarkable ability to find treasures in the most unexpected places. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, Daytona and Tre, spoiling them with love and affection. Carol's heart was as generous as it was kind. She was a loving and caring soul who rarely thought of herself, always putting others first. Her ever-present smile and willingness to help anyone in need left an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her home was always open, not just to friends and family, but to the many cats she adored, each finding a special place in her heart. Carol's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who survive her, including her children, Salvatore Simonetta Jr. of Alexandria, Va, and Janine Arnold of Perkasie, PA; her grandchildren, Daytona Arnold of New Hampshire and Tre Arnold of Perkasie, PA; her sister, Linda Lupowitz of Florida; and her brother, Mark Weissinger of Georgia. She is predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Simonetta, and her sister, Constance Tucker. A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on October 16, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Bryers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests flowers be sent to Bryers Funeral Home. They also wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Ann's Choice in Warminster, PA, and the nurses with Bayada Hospice for their compassionate care. Though Carol is no longer with us, her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Carol Simonetta welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
