Carol Norraine Workman
September 14, 1940 — May 2, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and deep admiration that we announce the passing of Carol Norraine Workman, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Carol left this world peacefully on May 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her four devoted children. Her passing marks the end of a life filled with compassion, strength, and countless cherished memories.
Born on September 14, 1940, in the quaint town of Clark Fork, Idaho, Carol was the cherished daughter of Bill and Hazel Hoskins. She was the sister to Donald and Richard Hoskins, who predeceased her, and to her beloved sister, Janet Hanneman of Newman Lake, and brother, Jodi Hoskins of Soldotna, who survive her.
Carol's journey was one marked by dedication and love. After graduating from Clark Fork High School, she pursued her passion for nursing at the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. For over 40 years, Carol served as a pediatric nurse, nurturing and caring for countless children with a gentle touch and a steadfast spirit. Her career was a testament to her kind heart and her unwavering commitment to helping others.
In 1962, Carol married the love of her life, Jerry Workman, with whom she shared a beautiful journey until his passing. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Jeff Workman of Spokane, Mike Workman (Jennifer) of Spokane, Bill Workman (Michelle) of Spokane, and Gina Stebbins (John) of Post Falls. Carol's children were her pride and joy, and she showered them with love and wisdom throughout her life.
Carol's legacy is lovingly carried on by her seven grandchildren: Raychel Bean (Tyler) of Deer Park, Ciarra Kelsey (Tyler) of Deer Park, Victoria Douglass (Klinton) of Spirit Lake, Vanessa Stebbins of Post Falls, Michael Workman of Spokane, Lauren Workman of Spokane, and Max Workman of Spokane. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Carter Bean, Cooper Bean, and Madison Kelsey, who brought her immense happiness and laughter.
A woman of many interests, Carol found joy in the beauty of nature, spending countless hours tending to her garden. Her love for travel led her to the sun-drenched shores of Hawaii, where she cherished precious moments with her friends and collected jewelry as tokens of those unforgettable trips. Yet, it was her grandchildren who captured her heart most profoundly, and she delighted in baking them cookies, filling her home with warmth and the sweet aroma of love.
Carol's family and friends will remember her as a woman of great character—stern yet gentle, always ready to listen and offer a kind word. Her loving and kind nature touched everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Carol's remarkable life, as per her family's wishes. In this quiet farewell, we celebrate a woman who lived her life with grace, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Carol's name to a children's charity of choice, continuing her legacy of caring for the little ones she held so dear.
As we bid farewell to Carol Norraine Workman, we hold onto the memories she created and the love she shared, knowing that her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in our lives.
