It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol J. Miller, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on June 16, 2026, at the age of 85. Carol's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the joy of living fully, even as she bravely battled severe dementia in her final years.
Born on August 19, 1940, in the town of Blackfoot, Idaho, Carol was a beacon of happiness and light from the very beginning. She was the cherished daughter of William Wayne Johnson and Bernice Fransen Johnson, who instilled in her the values of kindness and community. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Robert and Steven Johnson, and her sister Jane Johnson, who have undoubtedly welcomed her into the next life with open arms. Carol is also reunited with her sons, Michael and Gregory Poulson, who she missed dearly.
Carol's journey through life was marked by her pursuit of knowledge and her passion for helping others. she attended Bountiful High School, she went on to earn a degree in Finance from LDS Business College, and later obtained her real estate license. Her career as a real estate agent and in office accounting was a reflection of her dedication and commitment to providing for her family and serving her community.
In 2024, Carol was widowed from her l husband, Melvin R. Miller, with whom she shared countless cherished memories. , She created a home filled with warmth and laughter, a testament to their enduring partnership. Carol is survived by her devoted children: Scott Ronald Poulson of Murray, Utah; Robert J. Poulson of West Valley, Utah; and Julie Hill of Twin Falls, Idaho. Her legacy continues through her 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchild, and 1 Great, Great Grandson. each of whom carries a piece of her indomitable spirit.
A woman of many talents, Carol was renowned for her love of interior decorating and design, transforming spaces into havens of comfort and beauty. Her home was often filled with the sounds of laughter and joy, especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas, when she delighted in hosting parties and gathering her little loved ones.
Carol lived by the adage, "You might want to eat the dessert first, you don't know if you will be around for it later," a reflection of her zest for life and her belief in savoring every moment. Her generosity of spirit and her ability to find joy in the simplest of pleasures made her a cherished friend to many. Carol's love for children and her infectious laughter will be remembered by all who knew her.
As we say goodbye to Carol, we celebrate a life well-lived, one that touched so many with love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life filled with purpose and grace.
A private family service will be held to honor Carol's life at the Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Carol's name to a charity of your choice, as a way of continuing her legacy of giving and compassion. The Family would like to thank the many caregivers and Hospital. And the medical workers. A special thanks to the care she received from Bristol Hospice.
