Carol Jean Callahan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, at the age of 69. Born in Griffin, Georgia, on May 1, 1957, Carol was the cherished daughter of Andrew and Barbara Quick, both of whom preceded her in death.
Carol was a devoted wife to her late husband, Terry Callahan, whom she married in 1980. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and laughter, a testament to their enduring love and commitment to one another.
A proud graduate of Griffin High, Carol chose to dedicate her life to her family as a stay-at-home mom. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering devotion to her family were evident in every aspect of her life. Carol had a profound love for her family, which was returned tenfold by her surviving daughter, Andrea Callahan, and her two sisters, Carol Kennedy and Jennifer Grogan. Her legacy is carried on through her 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Carol was a woman of immense strength, kindness, and compassion. She was known for her generous heart and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and valued. Her family always came first, and she took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
A private funeral service will be held on August 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM, where her family will gather to honor and celebrate her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carol's memory to a charity of your choice.
Though she is no longer with us, Carol's spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who knew and loved her. As her family fondly expressed, "She will forever be missed." Carol Jean Callahan's legacy of love and devotion will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
