With heavy hearts and profound respect, we announce the passing of Carol Elaine Jackson, who left this world peacefully on March 9, 2026, in La Crescenta, CA, at the age of 80. Born on December 19, 1945, in Pasadena, Carol was a beacon of resilience and warmth, deeply loved by all who had the privilege to know her. Her life was a tapestry woven with stories of courage, love, and unwavering spirit. Carol's early years were marked by remarkable independence. At just 14, she embarked on a journey of self-reliance, navigating a challenging home environment after the loss of her beloved mother, Berjouhy Margosian. Despite these trials, she forged a path for herself, working diligently at horse stables and as a theater usher. These experiences shaped her into the strong, compassionate woman she was to become. A proud graduate of Franklin High School in Los Angeles in 1963, Carol pursued further education at Pasadena City College. Her thirst for knowledge and personal growth was a testament to her enduring determination to succeed and thrive, regardless of the hurdles she faced. Carol's life was a canvas painted with diverse experiences and relationships. She was married to Shannon Jackson, her devoted husband of 33 years, who stood by her side through every joy and challenge. Their love was a testament to the power of partnership and perseverance, and Shannon was with her as she gracefully embraced her final moments. Before Shannon, Carol's journey included marriages to Roger Heberle, Terry Ayotle, and Gino Doyle. Each relationship added depth and texture to her life, contributing to the rich mosaic of experiences that defined her. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Berjouhy Margosian, whose legacy she carried forward with grace. She is survived by her loving husband, Shannon Jackson, her cousin, Robin Margosian, and a wide circle of friends who cherished her company and wisdom. Her friendships were a source of immense joy and comfort, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Throughout her life, Carol was a pillar of strength and kindness, offering support and compassion to those around her. She faced her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer with characteristic bravery, finding solace in the presence of her loved ones during her final days at a hospice home. Carol's legacy is one of resilience, courage, and boundless love. She leaves behind a world made better by her presence and a community forever grateful for the light she shared. As we remember Carol Elaine Jackson, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul eternally cherished. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to organizations supporting cancer research, reflecting Carol's enduring spirit of giving and hope for a brighter future. May her memory be a blessing and her spirit continue to inspire us all.
