It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Dawn {McKinney} McCrory, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Carol departed from this world on October 3, 2026, after a brave and enduring battle with cancer. Born on July 25, 1969, in Rogers, Arkansas, she was a beacon of love and light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Donald and Gelene McKinney. She carried the values they instilled in her throughout her life, touching everyone she met with kindness and warmth. Carol's legacy of love and compassion lives on in her husband of 36 years, Roy McCrory, who was her steadfast companion and the love of her life. Together, they shared a passion for exploring the country, embracing each journey with joy and wonder. A devoted family woman, Carol is survived by her loving brother, Russell (Tonnie) Ruttan of Rogers, Arkansas, and her dear sisters, Sandra (Henry) Snoderly of Avoca, Arkansas, and Kathie (Mark) Graham of Bentonville, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Lisa McCrory Till, her two devoted sons, James McCrory, and Jim (Tina) McCrory, as well as seven cherished grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Carol's extended family includes many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Carol's love for her family was matched only by her love for the world around her. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially in the company of her beloved fur babies and in the beauty of nature. Tending to her flowers was a treasured pastime, a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Her love for music was a lifelong passion, and she proudly embraced her identity as a band nerd, sharing her enthusiasm with those around her. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, October 7th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton, Mississippi. A funeral service to celebrate Carol's remarkable life will be held on October 8th at 11:00 AM at the same location. Carol Dawn McCrory will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Her enduring spirit, boundless love, and unwavering strength will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
