Carol Ann Marochak

It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Marochak, a beloved daughter, sister, partner, and friend, who left this world on June 11, 2026, at the age of 57. Carol's journey began on July 30, 1968, in McKeesport, PA, where she was born to Patricia Taylor and Dennis Marochak. Her life, although too brief, was a tapestry of joy, warmth, and love that touched everyone fortunate to know her. Carol spent her childhood in Elizabeth, PA and her adulthood in North Carolina. She shared her childhood with her siblings, Mark Marochak and Michelle Minton. Carol's vibrant spirit was evident from a young age, and she graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School in 1985. Her passion for beauty and creativity led her to pursue a career in cosmetology, where she flourished as a hair stylist for over 25 years. Her clients cherished not only her talent but her infectious laughter and genuine interest in their lives. Throughout her life, Carol was a beacon of joy and enthusiasm. She had compassion for animals, especially cats, to include all the neighborhood strays. Carol found peace and happiness at the beach, where the the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun soothed her soul. She cherished time spent with her family and friends, always the life of the party, never losing her zest for life and adventure. Carol shared a long relationship with her friend and partner, Eddie Poole, who stood by her and cared for her through her tough journey. Carol's family extended beyond her partner and parents, as she leaves behind her stepfather James Taylor, stepmother Jeannie Marochak, siblings Mark (Lisa) Marochak, Michelle (Jason) Minton, half-sibling TJ Marochak, step-sibling Kristina (Tommy) Burke, nieces and nephews - Natalie and Brad Marochak, Ella and Chloe Minton, and William and Taylor Burke - who adored her playful spirit. Carol is now reunited with her grandparents, Velma and George Marochak, Juanita MacDonald, and Robert Cross; her aunts Gloria Vereb and Marie Humenik; and her uncles David Cross and Thomas Marochak, who predeceased her. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she left behind. A celebration of Carol's life will be held on June 20, 2026, at 12:00pm, at the home of Patty and James Taylor, located at 14 Hummingbird Ln, Durham, NC 27712. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful life Carol lived. As her family lovingly shares, "Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever." Carol Ann Marochak will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of all who knew her.
