Born on February 4, 1947, in the heart of Pueblo, Colorado, Carol’s life was a testament to kindness, humor, and unwavering love for her family. The daughter of Roy and Phyllis Rogers, Carol was raised in a home filled with love and laughter alongside her sisters Beverly, Joy, Mary, and Valerie. She graduated from Central High School in Pueblo in 1965, embarking on a journey that would touch the lives of many. Carol’s career was marked by dedication and compassion, attributes she brought to her roles at Pueblo Manor, the State Hospital, and ultimately at Belmont Senior Care as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her gentle nature and ability to find humor in any situation brought comfort and joy to those she cared for, as well as to her colleagues and friends. Family was the cornerstone of Carol’s life. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Michelle Stewart, Shawna Wells, and Chenelle Sandoval (Geno). Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren—Brittany Riley (Patrick), Steven Stewart (Kellie), Dustin Herrin (Katelyn), Corey Herrin (Maria), Gabrielle Traenkner (Kevin), Mackenzie Herrin, and Jillian Armstrong—who were her pride and joy. Carol was also a cherished aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and her family circle extended to include many other relatives and friends. Carol’s life was a celebration of togetherness. She found immense joy in gatherings and cherished the moments spent with her loved ones across Colorado. Her laughter was infectious, her stories captivating, and her spirit unyielding. Though she joins her beloved parents, Roy and Phyllis, and sisters Beverly and Joy in eternal rest, the memories she created will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her. A service to honor the beautiful life of Carol Ann Howard will be held on May 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM at The Springs Funeral Services, located at 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Family and friends are invited to join in a reception following the service at 7504 Short Grass Ct. 80915, where stories, laughter, and love will be shared in remembrance of Carol. Carol Ann Howard’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and the simple joys of life. She leaves behind a family that will forever cherish her memory and strive to emulate her kindness and humor. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
