A proud graduate of Quincy High School, she pursued her passion for helping others by earning an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Quincy College, followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Curry College. Her education laid the foundation for a remarkable career dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Carol's work was not just a job but a calling, as she tirelessly championed the rights and independence of adults with disabilities, ensuring they led fulfilling lives. In her personal life, Carol was known for her big, beautiful smile and her gift for offering the best advice when asked. Her warmth and wisdom were a source of comfort and guidance to many. Engaged to her loving fiancé, Michael Schubert, Carol found joy in simple pleasures. She adored crafting, solving jigsaw puzzles, and fishing with Michael. Her heart was captured by her precious dog, Pax, who was her loyal companion. The beach was Carol's sanctuary, a place where she found peace and happiness in the company of her family and friends. Whether it was the sound of the waves or the feeling of sand beneath her feet, any beach would do, as long as she was surrounded by her loved ones. Carol is survived by her devoted family, including Hilary Goguen Adler, Hannah Iattarelli Bowness, and Jake Bowness. Her spirit will continue to live on through them, as well as the countless lives she touched through her work and friendship. A service to celebrate Carol's incredible life will be held on April 23, 2026, at Sullivan Funeral Home. Her family invites all who knew her to join in honoring her memory, sharing stories, and cherishing the moments that made her so special.
