Carol Ann Davis

December 22, 1945 — March 20, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Davis, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world peacefully on March 20, 2026. Born on December 22, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska, Carol lived a life rich with love, devotion, and service to her family and community. She was 80 years old. Carol was the cherished daughter of Lowell and Margaret Shearer, who instilled in her the values of compassion, kindness, and resilience. These values guided her every step and became the cornerstone of her life’s journey. On March 27, 1960, Carol married the love of her life, Harold “Buddy” Davis. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter and love, celebrating over 65 years of marriage. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, a source of inspiration for all who knew them. Buddy was not only her husband but her best friend and steadfast companion. Carol was a devoted mother to her children, Jeff Davis, Harold Jr. (and his wife Jen) Davis, and Michelle (and her husband James) Davis. Her children were her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them. She was a beacon of wisdom and strength, always ready with a listening ear and a loving heart. As a grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren—Danielle, Ashley, Oliver, Aydan, Madison, Daniel Jr., and Joseph—Carol’s legacy of love continued to shine brightly. She delighted in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them, imparting her wisdom and humor. Carol also embraced the joy of being a great-grandmother to two beautiful great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her gentle spirit. The Davis family will hold a private ceremony to honor Carol’s life and her enduring impact on those she loved. Though the ceremony will be intimate, the family encourages those who wish to honor Carol’s memory to consider making a donation to the American Legion Millard #374, an organization close to her heart, at post374.org/auxiliary.html. Beyond her family, Carol was a friend to many and a source of light in the lives she touched. Her unwavering faith, generosity, and compassion were felt by all who crossed her path. She was known for her warm smile, her infectious laughter, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved. Carol’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones, but her spirit will forever be a guiding light. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the indelible mark she left on the world around her. In addition to her human family, Carol shared her love with her grand pups, Bruin, Mookie, and Max, who brought her endless joy and companionship. Her love for animals was a testament to her nurturing nature and her wonderful ability to find beauty in all living things. Though she is no longer with us in body, Carol Ann Davis’s spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
