Carol Ann Albers Prenger

Carol Ann Albers Prenger, age 65, of Minster, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at her home in Minster.
She was born on July 18, 1960, in St. Marys, Ohio, to the late Eugene “Fish” Wehrman and Marjorie (Hemmelgarn) Wehrman. On December 29, 2018, she married Terry Prenger, who survives in Minster.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Terry Prenger; her children, Eugene “Fish” & Shannon Albers of Fort Wayne, Amy Albers of Minster, Josh & Amanda Prenger of Sidney, Justin Prenger of Minster, Andrew Prenger of Minster, Nikki Beckert of Cleveland, Brian Prenger of Cleveland, Darion Prenger of Cleveland, and Vickie Prenger; and her cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Joseph, Juliana, and Riley Albers, Jaxon and Aliyah Prenger, Angel, Destiny, and Jasmine; and great-grandson, Zamari.
She is also survived by her siblings, Ben & Ann Wehrman of Minster, Sandy & Terry Mathewson of Rockford, and Pam & David Seger of Fort Loramie; her father-in-law, John Prenger of Minster; and her in-laws, Brenda & Dale Goubeaux of Russia, David Prenger of Minster, Kevin & Amy Prenger of Minster, Michelle & Alex Weber of California, and John & Ashley Prenger of Minster.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Kathy Prenger.
Carol was a faithful member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, the Minster Civic Association, Minster F.O.E. #1391, the New Bremen Rod & Gun Club, and a past member of the Police Auxiliary. For nearly 20 years, she ran BINGO at the Minster K of C Hall. Over the course of 45 years, she served on and off with the Fort Loramie Area Life Squad and the Minster Area Life Squad, dedicating herself primarily to service during the last eight years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 27, 2026, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, with burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026, and from 9 to 10 AM on Monday, April 27, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Carol Albers Servants Heart Scholarship and the Minster Area Life Squad.
