Carmen left this world on August 26, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by her cherished family in the comfort of her home. Born on June 2, 1943, in the vibrant city of Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, Carmen's journey through life was one marked by love, resilience, and unwavering kindness.
Carmen’s early years in Morelia were filled with the warmth of family and the rich cultural heritage that she carried with her throughout her life. Her move to the United States brought new challenges, yet Carmen embraced each one with grace and determination, ultimately creating a nurturing home and a close-knit community in Inglewood, California.
A woman of remarkable strength and compassion, Carmen dedicated her life to her family, ensuring that love and laughter were abundant in every gathering. Her kitchen was a haven of delicious aromas and heartfelt conversations, where everyone who entered felt welcomed and cherished.
A devout member of St John Chrysostom Church, Carmen found solace and strength in her faith, participating actively in her church community. Her generous spirit extended beyond her family, as she often volunteered her time to help those in need, embodying the true essence of kindness and service.
Carmen is survived by her loving children and grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy of love and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Carmen’s life will be held on September 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St John Chrysostom Church, located at 546 E Florence Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life beautifully lived and to share in the love that Carmen so freely gave to all.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support and condolences during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Carmen’s generous spirit.
