Carmen Laura Morales

In loving memory of Carmen Laura Morales, who passed away suddenly on July 20, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with heart and kidney disease. Born on February 25, 1943, in the vibrant community of Santurce, Puerto Rico, Carmen lived a life marked by grace, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. Carmen was the beloved daughter of Daniel Maisonet and Antonia Muñoz. Her life was a testament of love and commitment for her family and for those around her. She is survived by her devoted children: Nanette Morales, Michael (Cheryl) Morales, Magda Maisonet, Mitchell Morales, and Marcus (Sara) Morales, who cherished her guidance and unyielding support. Carmen was also the proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. For over two decades, Carmen dedicated herself to the field of education, shaping young minds in the North Rockland Central School District. Her passion for teaching and her nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on her students and colleagues alike, earning her respect and admiration throughout the community. Beyond her professional life, Carmen was an active and cherished member of the New Jerusalem Pentecostal Church in Haverstraw, NY. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, and she found great joy in serving her church community, offering her kindness and compassion to all who crossed her path. The legacy of Carmen's life will be celebrated on July 24, 2026, at Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY, with a service beginning at 10:30 AM. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Carmen are invited to join in remembering a life so beautifully lived. Carmen Laura Morales will be fondly remembered for her loving heart, her steadfast faith, and the indelible mark she left on everyone she encountered. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
