Carlos R Williams Sr, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on March 9, 2026, from complications of pneumonia. Born on April 25, 1962, in Baltimore, MD, Carlos was a beacon of light to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Carlos was the cherished son of Mary Lewis and Carlton Williams, who survive him. He is also survived by his devoted children, Ashley and Carlos, and his brothers, Marlowe, Billy, and Sean. His extended family, consisting of numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, all held a special place in his heart, and he in theirs. Although Carlos was never married, he held onto the hope of finding that special someone throughout his life. His heart was large enough to provide love and care to those around him, a testament to his nurturing nature. A graduate of Dunbar High School, Carlos furthered his education by attending trade school for HVAC. He dedicated his professional life to working as a maintenance technician, a role he cherished due to his love for problem-solving and helping others. His career took him across various states, where he left a lasting impression on every residential complex he served. Carlos also pursued entrepreneurial endeavors, striving to expand his own business in the maintenance field, a testament to his ambition and determination. Outside of work, Carlos was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for camping, hunting, and hiking. These pursuits brought him immense joy and peace, allowing him to connect with nature and find solace in the great outdoors. In his younger years, Carlos was an enthusiastic sportsman, but he selflessly put aside his athletic dreams to become a devoted father to his daughter, Ashley, at a young age. Carlos was known for his thoughtful nature and his ability to make everyone feel included. His booming laugh was infectious, and his stories could warm the coldest hearts or bring a smile to even the toughest of faces. He had an extraordinary gift for storytelling, often sharing tales that were both humorous and poignant, leaving an indelible mark on all who heard them. A celebration of Carlos's life will be held on March 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at New Beginnings Community Church, located at 7027 Stillwell Rd, Matthews, NC 28105. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Carlos are invited to attend and honor the life of this remarkable man who will be greatly missed.
