It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carlos Antoine Norman, who left this world peacefully at home on May 21, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on November 11, 1970, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Carlos was a beacon of warmth, love, and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Carlos was the beloved son of Carlos Sr. and Amy Lynn, who instilled in him the values of kindness and community that he carried throughout his life. He was a proud graduate of Cornell Education Center, class of 1987, where he laid the foundation for a lifelong career in barbering—a profession that became his calling and a conduit for his mentorship to many young men in the local community. Carlos's passion for barbering was matched only by his dedication to his family and community. As an active member of the First Baptist Church in Virginia for over 30 years, his faith was a guiding light, and his contributions to the church community were countless and deeply valued. An avid fisherman, Carlos never missed an opening day, cherishing the tranquility and joy that the sport brought him. He was known for his quick wit and warm smile, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met. His humor and gentle spirit provided comfort and joy, leaving a legacy of laughter and love. Carlos is survived by his cherished daughters, Jordyn, Reese, and Jessica, and his sons, John, Jaylen, Deno, Mendecee, and Brandon. His legacy continues through his 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his love and values. Carlos's family was his pride and joy, and his love for them was boundless and unwavering. In honoring Carlos's life, a private funeral ceremony will be held for close family and friends, respecting his wishes for privacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Association, reflecting Carlos's compassionate spirit and desire to make a difference. Carlos Antoine Norman was a man of integrity, warmth, and unwavering love. Though he has departed from this earth, his spirit will forever live in the hearts of those he touched. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
