Born on December 25, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, Carl was a cherished son to Martha Jean and Joseph Hall, a devoted father, a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and a beloved brother and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will be treasured by all who knew him. Carl's educational journey took him from Lincoln High School, where he graduated in 1968, to Chicago State University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1973. These formative years laid the foundation for his professional path and his lifelong commitment to personal growth and learning. For Carl, fishing was more than just a pastime—it was a sanctuary where he found peace and joy. Whether casting a line at the break of dawn or spending tranquil afternoons by the water, Carl's love for fishing was a reflection of his appreciation for nature and life's simple pleasures. Those who joined him on these excursions will forever remember his infectious smile and the life lessons he imparted about patience, gratitude, and perseverance. Carl's wonderfully goofy personality brought laughter and light to all fortunate enough to share in his world. His ability to find humor in everyday moments and his penchant for storytelling left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends. His playful spirit was a beacon of joy, reminding everyone around him to embrace life with laughter and love. Carl is survived by his children, Devin Hall, Danielle Hall, Christian Hall, and Jo Hall; his sisters, Mary Hall and Samantha Tyler; his 15 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support to his family, who will carry forth his memory and the values he instilled in them. A service to celebrate Carl's life will be held on July 19, 2026, at 8:30 AM at The Grove Church, located at 51 E Main Street. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Carl's generous spirit and commitment to giving back. In a special message from the family: "As we leave this place today, let us carry Carl's love, laughter, and kindness with us. Though we say goodbye with heavy hearts, we are grateful for the memories he gave us and the lives he touched. May we honor his legacy by loving one another, cherishing every moment, and finding joy in the simple things, just as he did."
