It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Gar, a beloved husband, brother, and friend, who departed this world on June 1, 2026, at the age of 73. Carl was born on February 5, 1953, in Clayton, New Jersey, to his loving parents, Carl and Gail Gar. He lived a life rich with love, kindness, and integrity, touching the hearts of all who knew him. Carl spent his formative years in New Jersey, where he attended Williamstown High School, graduating with the class of 1971. It was during these years that he developed a lifelong passion for learning and curiosity about the world around him, which stayed with him throughout his life. In his personal life, Carl was blessed with a deep and enduring love. He shared a remarkable journey with his devoted wife, Daen, whose companionship and partnership brought him great joy. Together, they created a life filled with laughter, adventure, and mutual respect. Although Carl and Daen did not have children, they cherished their time together and made wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Carl was predeceased by his cherished sister, Nancy, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. He is survived by his beloved sister, Mary, who stood by him through all of life's challenges and triumphs. Their sibling connection was a testament to the strength of family ties and unconditional love. Throughout his life, Carl's warm spirit and generous nature left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was a man who delighted in the simple pleasures of life, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a comforting word. His gentle demeanor and quiet strength were a source of inspiration for those who had the privilege of knowing him. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the Bayada staff for their unwavering support and exceptional care during Carl's final days. A special thank you is extended to Katrins, whose kindness and compassion were a great comfort. A service to honor Carl's life will be held on June 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, located at 12 N Main Street. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Carl's remarkable journey.
