Calvin was the beloved son of Mamie Alford and Kijana Jordan, and he was predeceased by his father and infant TrayFingers. His memory will be carried forward by his devoted mother Mamie, his sister KJ, and sister-in-law Modesty. Calvin leaves behind his cherished wife, Lollie, who shared five beautiful years of marriage with him. Though they had no children together, Lollie lovingly embraced his six children as her own: Kenyatta, Kejohn, Keandre, Tremoney, Trikell, and his twin Kai. Calvin was also a doting grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Calvin was known for his vibrant spirit and his unwavering dedication to his community. He was an esteemed member of the Long Beach Insane Crip for over a decade, where he was not only a leader but also a mentor and teacher to many. To those around the city, especially on the east side, Calvin was a beacon of strength and courage, known for his big heart and unyielding commitment to bettering his community. His presence was a living testament to authenticity and resilience.
Calvin possessed a myriad of talents and interests that filled his life with joy and purpose. He was a gifted lyricist who could captivate an audience with his words and a passionate dancer inspired by Michael Jackson, mastering the moonwalk with grace. His love for his sister KJ was profound, and he admired her strength and determination. Calvin's generosity knew no bounds; he was known to give the clothes off his back to those in need, embodying the true spirit of kindness.
His unique personality was a blend of intelligence, charisma, and boldness, making Calvin a beloved figure in his community. He had a rare ability to accept people for who they were, nurturing and protecting those he loved. Calvin's life will be celebrated in a service on September 26, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The family invites all who knew and loved him to join in honoring his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Calvin's memory to support heart and kidney health organizations, reflecting his courageous battle and the legacy he leaves behind.
