Calisteen Faust

July 21, 1952 — March 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Calisteen Faust, who departed this world peacefully on March 27, 2026, at the age of 73. Calisteen was born on July 21, 1952, in the charming town of Lynchburg, South Carolina, to her loving parents, Edmond and Virgina Woods, who preceded her in death. As a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and doting grandmother, Calisteen's life was a tapestry of love and dedication. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Faust, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Their union began on April 10, 1969, and together they built a beautiful family and life, raising two amazing children who survive her: Peter Faust and Shameka Spinney. Calisteen's legacy is richly woven with the lives of those she leaves behind. Her love and warmth extended to her cherished siblings, Brenda (Larry) Richardson and Curtis Woods, who remember her as a pillar of strength and support. Her nurturing spirit will be carried on through her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Throughout her life, Calisteen was a beacon of kindness and compassion, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her unwavering faith guided her through life's trials, and she was a devoted member of the Columbia Church of Christ. Calisteen's generosity and gentle spirit were a testament to her deep love for her family and community. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Calisteen's remarkable life at a service to be held on April 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Columbia Church of Christ, located at 180 Harbor Road, West Columbia, SC 29169. We will come together to honor a woman whose life was a blessing to us all, a woman who taught us the true meaning of love, resilience, and friendship. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Calisteen's memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to her generous heart and spirit. Calisteen Faust's life was a testament to the power of love and family. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband and parents.
