On July 25, 1975, Calbert married the love of his life, Betty Myers. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Though Betty predeceased him, their bond remained a source of strength and inspiration for Calbert. Their union blessed them with three wonderful children: Barbara Perry, Patrick Evans, and Andrea Dione Evans, who carry forward his legacy of love and compassion.
Calbert's life was further enriched by the joy his eight grandchildren—Chad Evans of Atlanta, GA; Alonzo Evans; Earl Cooper of Fontana, CA; Andrekia Perry; April Evans of Fontana, CA; Brandi Evans of Porter, TX; Tenarian Perry; and Cameron Perry Jr.—brought into his world. His great-grandchildren were a source of immense pride, and he cherished the moments spent with them.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, Calbert spent many years with Poole Lumber Company, where he retired with the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Calbert was deeply committed to his faith. Serving as an Assistant Pastor at the Evangelical Church of God in Christ, he was a guiding light to many, providing spiritual support and encouragement to all who sought it.
Calbert found joy and solace in reading his Bible, a testament to his unwavering faith. He also enjoyed listening to western shows, a pastime that brought him comfort and nostalgia. His commitment to his church and community was unwavering, and he devoted much of his time to helping others, embodying the true spirit of service.
Those who knew Calbert will remember him for his boundless generosity and his kind, gentle nature. His life was a testament to the power of love and kindness, and his memory will forever remain a beacon of hope and warmth for those who had the privilege of knowing him.
