Cade Jared Smeltzer

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious son, Cade Jared Smeltzer, who departed this world far too soon on August 12, 2026. Cade was born on July 22, 2026, in Pittsburgh. Though his time with us was brief, his impact was immeasurable. Cade was a true fighter, displaying a strength far beyond his tender 21 days. In this short time, he captured countless hearts with his innocence and quiet resilience. His tiny hands held a world of love, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege to know him. Cade will forever be cherished and remembered by his loving parents, Colin Smeltzer and Alyssa Weller, His GPA-Steve Smeltzer and Meme-Wendy Daly ,2 very Special Aunts Carlee and Chloee Smeltzer, who find solace in the memory of his gentle presence. During Cade’s brief stay at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, the staff showed extraordinary dedication and compassion. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the hospital team for their unwavering support, kindness, and exceptional care for Cade. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Cade's memory to the American Heart Association, an organization dedicated to preventing and treating heart-related illnesses. This gesture will help honor Cade's courageous spirit and support vital research and care for others in need. Though he was with us for only a moment, Cade’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. May his brief life serve as a reminder of the preciousness of each moment and the enduring power of love.
