Burke McClellan

Burke McClellan, affectionately known as "Burkie" by those who cherished him, passed away on September 6, 2026, suddenly. Born on October 24, 1970, in Massachusetts to Beverly Chase and Paul McClellan, Burke lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. From an early age, Burke had a zest for life that was truly infectious. He graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fitchburg MA in 1990 with a keen interest in welding, a skill that would later define much of his professional career. Burke proudly served his country as a Marine Corps at the age of 28 in 1998. After he graduated the Marine Corps he chose communications as his MOS. He then was stationed on the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in 29 Palms California where he was able to train further in communications. He then returned home back to Massachusttes began working with Superior Steel Welding & Repair. The day 911 happened he was activated back to active duty in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Jacksonville NC for a year. He also traveled to Romania for training exercises. His dedication and commitment to his duties were evident to all who served alongside him. After his military service, Burke channeled his skills into a successful career as a welder and fabricator, spending ten years at Superior Steel Welding & Repair before moving on to Fitchburg Welding, where he excelled as a Foreman. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Burke was a man of diverse interests and passions. An avid motorcycle rider, he found freedom on the open road. He cherished simple pleasures—going for walks, sitting on his porch with friends, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren, Jamisin Cushing and Aurora Godin. His heart was most full in the presence of family, and he delighted in creating joyful memories with his children, Jacob and Joselin McClellan. Throughout his children's upbringing he was active with their sports and school. He then retired from working to pursue an education in broadcasting communications school at the Mount Watchusette Community College in Gardner MA where he pursued his passion for film and broadcasting, nurturing a creative spirit that would remain with him throughout his life. Since he left college Burke moved in with his Aunt Clair to help take care of her and worked odd jobs. Burke's love for his family extended to his dear siblings, Samantha and Jessica Yandow, and his circle of close friends, including Lee Flaherty, Gregory Dimacale, and Scot Nagel. Each encounter with Burke was marked by his radiant spirit and the laughter he brought into every room. In his quieter moments, Burke found solace in journaling, a practice that allowed him to reflect on his life's journey. He was a devoted fan of 'The Dukes of Hazzard,' and those who knew him well can fondly recall many a tale shared over episodes of the beloved show. Burke's legacy is one of light, love, and laughter. He leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories and a family deeply grateful for the time they shared with him. His vibrant spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his mother Beverly Chase, his father Paul McClellan, his sisters Jessica Yandow and Samantha Yandow, his nieces Megan, Ashley, and Alexia, his nephew Steven, his children, Jacob and Joselin McClellan, his 2 grandchildren Jamisin Cushing and Aurora Godin, and his Aunt Clair and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Burke's memory to a charity of one's choice, celebrating his life by supporting causes close to his heart.
