Buddy Allen Williams

March 9, 1968 — June 10, 2026

It is with profound sadness yet a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Buddy Allen Williams, who departed this world on June 10, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on March 9, 1968, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Buddy was the cherished son of Lonnie and Carol Williams. Although his father Lonnie predeceased him, Buddy's legacy of kindness and generosity continues to enrich the lives of all who knew him. Buddy's formative years were spent in the close-knit community of Forsyth, Missouri, where he graduated from Forsyth High School in 1986. He furthered his education at Southwest Missouri State University, completing his degree in 1992. His educational journey was marked by a passion for learning and an insatiable curiosity that would follow him throughout his life. From a young age, Buddy was no stranger to hard work. He started his career at McDonald's at the age of 16, where his dedication and natural leadership abilities saw him rise to the position of Manager. Buddy was not only committed to his work but also to the people he worked with, always ready with a kind word or a helpful hand. A man of many interests, Buddy had a particular fondness for history and was known for his ability to recount historical facts and stories that made the past come alive for those around him. He was an avid hunter, finding peace and camaraderie in the great outdoors. But above all, Buddy was a devoted family man, whose greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones. Buddy's loving spirit and generous heart were evident in his many years of service to his community. He dedicated much of his time to preparing and delivering meals to family and community members, ensuring that no one went without. His acts of kindness were numerous and spontaneous, reflecting a soul that was truly selfless and caring. Buddy is survived by his loving mother, Carol Williams, who was his steadfast supporter and cherished confidante. He leaves behind a son, Ranger Collard, who carries forward his father's legacy of strength and integrity. Buddy is also survived by his brother, Justin Williams and his wife Becky, his sister Penny Lewis and her husband Chester, and his treasured grandchildren, Lyla, Rowan, and Remington. His nieces and nephews, Charlie, Karissa, Chelsia, and Chester, were all touched by his warmth and wisdom. The family will hold a service to celebrate Buddy's life on June 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bryant Ridge Church in Taneyville, MO. This gathering will be a testament to the profound impact Buddy had on his community and his family, a time to share stories and remember a man who was always ready with a fact, a story, or a smile. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Buddy's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others. As we say goodbye to Buddy, we remember a man whose life was characterized by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those he cared for. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
