It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Bucky Carlberg, who left us suddenly on August 11, 2026. Born on October 16, 1940, in the charming town of Luck, Wisconsin, Bucky was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bucky was the cherished son of Leonard & Esther Carlberg and was predeceased by his loving parents, his sisters Doris, Ramona, Marcia and his dear son Jon. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Kathy, who stood by his side through life's many seasons. Bucky's legacy lives on through his daughter, Jeanice (Jim) Meier, and his five treasured grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. A proud alumnus of Luck High School, Bucky's early years set the foundation for a life of integrity and dedication. His service to his country as a member of the United States Navy was a testament to his unwavering commitment and patriotism. What set Bucky apart was his infectious humor and constant joking, a quality that endeared him to friends and family alike. His laughter and light-hearted spirit created countless cherished memories, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy. A graveside service to honor Bucky's life will be held on October 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Luck Village Cemetery, 1501-1575 S 7th Street Luck, WI 54853 followed by a luncheon at the VFW (Post-1503) 200th Ave Milltown WI 54858 Starting at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, continuing Bucky's legacy of kindness and generosity. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support during this difficult time. As they reflect on a life well-lived, they share this special message: "Bucky will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him." Rest in peace, Bucky. Your laughter will forever echo in our hearts.
