In Loving Memory

Bryant Herbert Holmes
December 23, 1971 — March 17, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bryant Herbert Holmes, who departed this world on March 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with liver cancer and other health complications. Born on December 23, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, Bryant lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and a profound connection with both people and animals.
Bryant was the cherished son of Herbert Holmes Jr. and Brenda J. Davis. He is now reunited in eternity with his beloved brothers, Jason, Jerrod, and Quentin J. Holmes, who preceded him in death. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his brother, Hosea H. Hines, his sisters, Demetria Holmes and Desiree Hines-Franklin, and an extended family of nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were touched by his gentle spirit.
Bryant's early years were spent in Tucson, Arizona, where he attended Vesey Elementary School and Maxwell Middle School. Despite life's challenges, Bryant's determination led him to obtain his GED in Los Angeles, California. In 2016, he proudly graduated from the 360 Program in Los Angeles, a testament to his perseverance and dedication to personal growth.
A man of many talents, Bryant was known for his ability to play the piano by ear, filling rooms with melodies that resonated with those who listened. Although his height eventually steered him away from his favorite sport, gymnastics, his love for movement and grace remained a part of him. In his spare time, Bryant found joy in training animals, a natural talent that seemed almost magical. His dream was to become a veterinarian or farmer, a dream that mirrored his deep love for creatures of all kinds.
Bryant's career as a counselor in training at the 360 program allowed him to extend his compassion and understanding to those in need, offering guidance and support with a mild manner that was uniquely his own. His ability to communicate with animals was reminiscent of Dr. Dolittle, and his caring nature endeared him to all who knew him.
A memorial celebration will be held on June 21, 2026, at Your Designated Place, with services beginning at 4 pm PST, 7 pm EST. The family invites all who knew Bryant to join in a Balloon Release Memorial, symbolizing his spirit soaring to the heavens to join his brothers.
The Davis, Holmes, and Hines families extend their sincere gratitude to everyone who has shown love and support during this time of sorrow. Bryant's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the joy of simple pleasures. Though he is no longer with us, his gentle spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Sincere From the Heart,
The Davis, Holmes, Hines Family
