Mount Holly, North Carolina - It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Bryan Keith Baker, cherished father, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully at his home on March 16, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on July 6, 1962, in Mount Holly, North Carolina, Bryan was the beloved son of the late Nora Warren and Jerry Baker Sr.
A lifelong resident of Mount Holly, Bryan was a proud graduate of East Gaston High School, Class of 1980. His enduring work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his long and commendable career at UPS, where he was known not just as a diligent employee but also as a generous soul who contributed to many local projects. His commitment to service and his community left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Bryan's life was a testament to his passion for mechanics and engines. Whether it was tractors, boats, cars, or motorcycles, he loved anything that roared to life with the turn of a key. His hands were rarely still, always eager to fix up things and bring them back to their former glory, much like the way he touched the lives around him.
Bryan’s legacy lives on through his treasured daughter, Amber Baker Moore, and her husband, Justin, who were the lights of his life. His brother, Jerry Lee Baker Jr., also survives him, sharing countless memories of their adventures and shared love for all things mechanical. Bryan was predeceased by his dear parents, Nora and Jerry Baker Sr., and we take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with them.
In his spare time, Bryan could often be found in his garage, surrounded by the hum of engines and the scent of motor oil, perfecting his craft and sharing stories with friends and family. His laughter was infectious, his spirit indomitable, and his kindness, unwavering. He lived life with a gentle strength and a heart full of love, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A celebration of Bryan's life will be held at a later date, where stories will be shared, laughter will fill the air, and his life will be honored in the way he would have wanted—with joy, love, and the roar of a well-tuned engine.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to local community projects in Bryan’s memory, so that his spirit of giving may continue to benefit the town he loved so dearly.
Bryan Keith Baker's journey on earth has ended, but his story lives on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
