July 22, 1968 — March 13, 2026

Bryan Douglas Smith, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, surrounded by love, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, a mere two and a half weeks after his diagnosis. Born on July 22, 1968, in the heart of Louisville, KY, Bryan lived a life full of music, adventure, and deep connections with those he cherished. Bryan was the treasured son of the late Judy and Leroy Smith, who predeceased him, along with his uncles Clyde and Bill, and his grandparents, Burt and June Slone. His family was his world, and he leaves behind his devoted sister, Teresa Dorman, and her husband, Derrick. His legacy continues through his loving nephews, Joshua and Tanner Dorman, his cherished nieces, Malorey Dorman and Kelly Henley, and her husband, Jason. Bryan's great-niece, Natalie Henley, brought him immense joy, as did his cousin, Greg Slone, and the many other close family and friends who were touched by his warmth and humor. Bryan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. For many years, he was a dedicated delivery driver for Domino's, where he formed lasting friendships and enjoyed the freedom of living life on his own terms. This job brought him not only fulfillment but a community that appreciated his quick wit and big smile—a testament to his lifelong love of connecting with people. Music was the rhythm of Bryan's life. A talented bass guitarist, he spent countless hours playing in bands and appreciating new tunes. He was known to have strong opinions about music, notably his disdain for Smashing Pumpkins, a band he humorously claimed "took his riff." Yet, his love for music was undeniable and infectious to those around him. Bryan was also an avid motorcyclist, often seen riding his beloved Honda Shadow. He was always eager to share his passion for the open road, ready to take friends and family on spontaneous rides. His adventurous spirit extended to travel, with dreams of taking his RV south to Florida to bask in the warm sunshine—a plan he spoke of often with excitement and anticipation. Despite being a private person, Bryan's love for his family was boundless. He was a proud uncle to Malorey, Joshua, Tanner, and Kelly, always making sure they knew how much they meant to him. Whether engaging in lively conversations on Discord, sending thoughtful texts, or simply being present at family gatherings, he was a constant source of support and joy. Bryan's life will be celebrated on March 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Ashland Park in Clarksville, Indiana. We invite all those who shared in Bryan's journey to join us in honoring the remarkable life he led and the profound impact he had on everyone he met. As we remember Bryan, let us celebrate his love for music, his free spirit, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. His legacy will live on in the laughter, love, and melody that he shared so generously with the world.
