Bruce Michael Wagner
August 18, 1953 — June 8, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Michael Wagner, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world peacefully on June 8, 2026, at Harbor Hospice, encircled by the warmth and love of his family. Born on August 18, 1953, in the picturesque town of Ludington, MI, Bruce was the beloved son of the late George and Maxine Wagner. His life was a testament to joy, laughter, and an enduring commitment to family and community.
Bruce grew up in a lively household, surrounded by the love of his parents and the camaraderie of his siblings. He graduated from Mason County Central and pursued two years of college education, which laid the foundation for his lifelong passion for building and design. Bruce worked diligently on the family farm, where his hands shaped the land and his heart nurtured familial bonds. His career was deeply rooted in craftsmanship, as he became an extraordinary builder and a skilled CAD technician, creating beautiful house and furniture plans that were as much art as they were architecture.
His zest for life was evident in his love for the outdoors. Bruce found joy in camping trips with family, the thrill of riding motorcycles and quads, and the exhilarating rush of snowmobiling through Michigan’s winter wonderland. He also had a keen eye for photography, capturing the world’s beauty through his lens. His handiwork was not limited to his professional life; he was a builder in spirit, always creating, always innovating.
Bruce was more than his accomplishments; he was a spirit of joy and happiness. Known for his quick wit and infectious humor, he was always ready with a one-liner to make you smile or share a laugh. His presence was a source of light, and his laughter was a balm to the soul. Bruce was an overall happy person whose positivity touched everyone he met.
He is survived by his loving siblings: George (Judy), Ed (Jan), Susan, Greg (Kathy), John (Cindy), Jeff (Tracy), and Marc (Sharon). Bruce was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews: Kate (Anthony), Emily (Kristian), Stephanie (Rich), Jeremy (Christine), Mandy, Michelle, Brad, Max (Meagan), Adam, Matthew, Kristen, Mackenzie (MacKenzie), Cameron, Anna (Lauren), Julia, Thomas, Mitchell, Maddison, and Sydney. He was also adored by many great-nieces and nephews, as well as a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, George and Maxine Wagner, and his brothers-in-law, Gary and Larry.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will take place on June 26, 2026, at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, located at 2380 W Jackson Rd, Hart, MI 49420. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream of the service can be accessed at https://www.stjosephweare.org/. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Bruce’s memory to the American Heart Association, honoring his legacy by supporting a cause close to his heart.
Bruce's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Trinity Hospital Muskegon and Harbor Hospice for their compassionate and dedicated care during his final days. Their kindness and support meant the world to Bruce and his loved ones.
