Born on July 2, 1960, in Maryland, Bruce grew up with a curiosity and passion for the world around him, traits that he carried throughout his life. A proud alumnus of Michigan Technological University, Bruce graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering, a field in which he would leave a lasting mark. His career was one of dedication and distinction, as he served as an Electrical Engineer for the US Navy at Patuxent Naval Air Station and various other locations around the globe. His work was not only a testament to his skills but also to his unwavering commitment to his country and his craft. Beyond his professional life, Bruce was a man of many talents and interests. He was an avid fisherman, a sport that brought him peace and joy. He also enjoyed playing golf and was an accomplished billiards player, a passion that began in his youth. Bruce’s journey in competitive pool saw him reach remarkable heights; he was a NIT College Championship finalist, had multiple top ten finishes at the US Open 9-Ball Championship, and held titles as Pennsylvania State 8-Ball Champion, Maryland 9-Ball State Champion, and the 2003 US Amateur Billiard Champion. His competitive spirit and professional demeanor at the pool table left opponents and admirers alike in awe of his talents and his graciousness. Bruce was not only known for his achievements but also for his personal qualities. He was a consummate professional, quick-witted, and ever ready to lend a hand, using his engineering expertise to help those in need. His kindness and generosity touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bruce would have appreciated any and all support.
