It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dion "Brother" D'Almeida, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Dion departed this world on March 14, 2026, at the age of 58, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on April 19, 1967, in Edwards, California, Dion was the cherished son of the late Peter and Betty D'Almeida. He was welcomed into the world with warmth and love, which he carried throughout his life and shared with everyone he encountered. Predeceased by his devoted parents, Dion is now reunited with them in eternal peace. Dion was a proud veteran who served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army from August 1985 until his honorable discharge in August 1992. His dedication and service to his nation were a testament to his strength of character and unwavering commitment to the values he held dear. After his military service, Dion applied his remarkable skills and industrious nature to a career as a mechanic in Texas and also found great satisfaction in building and remodeling homes. His quick learning ability made him a master of his craft, and his perfectionist nature ensured that everything he touched was completed with meticulous care and precision. Dion’s love for life extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing and hunting, often turning these activities into friendly competitions with his sister. His determination to enjoy the great outdoors was unwavering, and he continued to pursue his passions even in his final days. The mountains were his sanctuary, and the laughter he shared with friends at The Mill in Conner was a testament to his joyful spirit. Known for his quick wit, outrageous stories, and sly smile, Dion had a unique ability to make friends wherever he went. His charismatic personality and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was a truly gifted young man whose spirit and laughter will be missed by many. Dion is survived by a loving family who cherished him deeply, including his sisters Christina (Troy) Axtell, Corina (Rob) Waldo, and Katrina (Jack) Smith; his sons, Justin, Josh, and Jeremy; and his beloved granddaughter, Evelyn. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with a multitude of friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. As we remember Dion, let us celebrate the good times and hold onto the stories that will keep his memory alive. He may have left this world, but he will remain forever in our hearts. Dion D'Almeida made a huge impact on everyone he met, and his warmth and love will be truly missed. A memorial service to honor Dion's life and legacy will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Dion's memory. May we find comfort in knowing that Dion's spirit will continue to live on in the stories we share and the memories we cherish.
