February 8, 1988 — March 13, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Antione Dunigan, who departed this world on his 38th birthday, February 8, 2026. Born on February 8, 1988, in Centerville, Illinois, Antione was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend. His untimely departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy of kindness and generosity will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Antione was the beloved son of Vanicia Mosley and Greg Dunigan, and stepson to David Dunigan and Micheal Simmons. He is survived by his loving parents, his children Antione, Aaliyah, MaKayla, and Kimmy Dunigan, and a large, close-knit family of siblings: Shaqueta & Antonio Thigpen, David Dunigan Sr., JaCandies Dunigan, Christine & Rickorian Stidimire, Tyra Dunigan, Maggie Dunigan, Dora & David Williams, Sandra Dunigan, Joanna Simmons, Lali Simmons, Micheal Simmons II, Micheal Simmons III, Malina Simmons, and Mahalia Simmons. Antione joins in eternal rest his grandparents, Patricia & Sammie Mosley, and his little brother, Davion Dunigan. The family finds solace in knowing that they are now reunited, watching over us from above. A proud alumnus of East Side Senior High School, Antione took pride in his work with a local towing company and his passion for being a skilled handyman. His exceptional ability to troubleshoot and repair was matched only by his willingness to help others; he was always just a call away, ready to lend a hand without hesitation. Antione’s readiness to assist those in need is a testament to his selfless character and is something that will be fondly remembered by all. Antione had a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace and joy in fishing and tending to gardens. The simple pleasures of life brought him the greatest joy, whether it was enjoying a cold beer or spending time with his loved ones. He was a man who knew how to appreciate life’s little moments while always making sure to dress and stay fresh. A service to celebrate Antione's life will be held on April 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the comforting embrace of Tyra's Yard, located at 6601 Old St. Louis Rd. The family invites all those who knew and loved him to join them in honoring his life and the beautiful impact he had on the world around him. In the words of his devoted family, "He was more than just a brother, father, friend, and son—he was the kind of person who made life better just by being in it. His love, strength, and presence will never be forgotten." As we say goodbye to Antione, let us remember the light he brought into our lives, his unwavering strength, and the love he shared so freely. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, dear Antione, knowing you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
