In Loving Memory

Brizilda Watson-Sinclair
June 14, 1965 — April 29, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Brizilda Watson-Sinclair, who left this world on April 29, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on June 14, 1965, in Paterson, New Jersey, Brizilda was a beacon of light, warmth, and kindness, touching the lives of everyone she encountered.
Brizilda was the cherished daughter of Melus and Josephine Watson, who predeceased her, along with her devoted husband, Trevor Sinclair, and her beloved children Wayne Watson and Beatrice Watson. Her journey now reunites her with her loved ones who have passed before her, including her grandson, Kedon Watson.
Devoted to her family, Brizilda leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience in her surviving children: twin daughters Jennifer and Jacqueline Watson, and her son, Devon Hamilton. Her nurturing spirit will continue to shine through her grandchildren—Ricardo Watson, Toniesha Watson, Webster Reid, and Kiana Simms—and her great-grandchildren, Ethan Peters, Anthony Watson, Nii Mari Simms, and Stori Quashie, who will carry forward her memory and values.
For 35 years, Brizilda dedicated her professional life to being a home attendant, a role she embraced with unparalleled compassion and commitment until 2019. She was known for caring for everyone, young and old, with a nurturing touch that was as soothing as it was uplifting. Her quick wit and bright smile were her trademarks, lighting up any room she entered and lifting spirits with her ready jokes and generous heart.
Beyond her professional commitments, Brizilda found solace and strength in her faith. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church for over 40 years, a place where she forged lasting friendships and contributed to the community, reflecting the deep-seated kindness and generosity that defined her life.
In her spare time, Brizilda found joy in the simple pleasures of cooking and cleaning, activities through which she expressed her love and care for her family and friends. Her home was always a welcoming haven, where everyone felt valued and cherished.
A celebration of Brizilda's life will take place on May 15, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, located at 450 Eastern Parkway. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in remembering a life beautifully lived.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for their urgent and compassionate care during this difficult time. Brizilda will remain forever in our hearts, a guiding light and a source of inspiration for all who were fortunate to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity close to Brizilda's heart, supporting those in need, as she did throughout her life. Her spirit, characterized by love and selflessness, will endure in the lives she touched and the memories she created.
