With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Brigette Bowen, a woman of extraordinary grace and warmth, on April 8, 2026, in the comforting embrace of her family. Born Brigette Wolff on January 28, 1946, in the vibrant city of Berlin, Germany, Brigitte's life was a testament to resilience, love, and an unwavering dedication to those she cherished. Brigitte was the beloved daughter of Paul and Ricarda Wolff, who instilled in her a love for life and a heart of gold, qualities that would shine brightly throughout her years. Her journey through life was marked by her profound kindness and generosity, traits that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Brigitte's life was enriched by her deep love for her family. She is predeceased by her husband Willie Bowen and her stepson Kevin Bowen . She is survived by her devoted son, Michael, and his wife, Liz, who were constant pillars of support and joy in her life. She also leaves behind her cherished stepfamily: stepson Steve Bowen and his wife, Rossi; stepson Jeff Bowen; and stepdaughter Beverly Wyka and her husband, Michael. Her role as a grandmother was one she embraced with enthusiasm and unconditional love. Brigitte leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in the lives of her twelve grandchildren, each of whom she adored and celebrated in her unique, heartfelt way. She co-owned Whitehall Beauty Salon, she loved gardening, and her ability to fix anything,and was an avid reader. Brigitte's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. A devoted animal lover, she had an enduring affection for cats whose companionship brought her endless joy. Her love of shopping was legendary, as she found delight in discovering little treasures that would bring smiles to her loved ones' faces. Brigitte love garnering. Brigitte's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a commitment to making the world a brighter place. Her kind heart and generous nature were felt by all who crossed her path, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. A celebration of Brigitte's life will be held April 13th at Barr Price funeral home in Lexington where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable journey. Internment to occur on April 20th at noon in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter, a cause close to Brigitte's heart. Rest in peace, dear Brigitte. Your legacy of love and compassion will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to know you.
