With profound sorrow and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Bridgette Nicole Hammers, who left this world on June 29, 2026, at the age of 47. Bridgette was born on May 5, 1979, at Travis Air Force Base in California, the cherished daughter of Bruce and Regina Taylor. Her life, though tragically cut short due to complications from a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, was a testament to her indomitable spirit and unwavering faith. Bridgette's journey of love and creativity began early. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1997 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance, with a Minor in Business, from Oral Roberts University in 2002. Her extraordinary talent as an Emmy award-winning vocalist and songwriter brought joy to countless lives. Her performances, hailed by radio stations 94.9 KLTY, 99.5 WOLF, and 106.1 KISS FM, were a testament to her remarkable vocal prowess. Celebrated as "the best National Anthem singer" by Dale Petroskey, Bridgette's powerful renditions graced major sporting events, including the Texas Rangers' 2011 ALCS Game 2 and the Dallas Mavericks. A devoted wife to her beloved husband, Keith Hammers, whom she married on February 7, 2004, Bridgette was the embodiment of loyalty and love. Together, they shared 22 beautiful years filled with laughter, music, and adventures. Bridgette found joy in leading worship, writing songs, and journaling her thoughts. Her life was a beautiful symphony of service and passion, as she led worship and performed at venues and churches nationwide and abroad. Her roles as Worship Pastor, Worship Leader, Songwriter, Teacher, Author, and Production Director were not just titles but manifestations of her deep commitment to her faith and community. Bridgette's love for others knew no bounds. She was a woman of unwavering faith, devoted to seeing people made whole and healed. Her leadership and teaching skills were unparalleled, and her kindness and compassion touched everyone she met. Whether she was playing piano and guitar, leading Bible studies with friends, hiking, or enjoying spin bike classes with her husband, Bridgette lived every moment with purpose and grace. She is survived by her devoted husband, Keith; her loving parents, Bruce and Regina Taylor; her brother, Bruce N. Taylor II, his wife Laura, and their children: Kai Taylor, his wife Jocelyn, and their daughter Alannah; Jasmine Bilbro and her husband Micah; Lilly Taylor; Celeste McCoy; and Aiden Wisniewski. She was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Short and Marie Keller. A service to celebrate Bridgette's extraordinary life will be held on June 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Hope Fellowship Frisco West, located at 309 Main St., Frisco, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Global Renewal and Treasured Vessels, organizations that were close to Bridgette's heart.
