Brian William Barrett
July 1, 1950 — July 30, 2026
Brian William Barrett, a deeply cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on July 1, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Beatrice Heideman, Brian was imbued with a rich family legacy rooted in the love and guidance of his grandparents, George and Odesa Marie Barrett.
Brian shared a beautiful and devoted marriage of over five decades with his beloved wife, Carol Camardo Barrett, whom he wed on August 8, 1970. Their union was blessed with two wonderful children, Nicole Barrett and Mark Barrett, who, along with his wife Jennifer, brought immense joy to Brian's life. He was the proud grandfather of Zachery Barrett, Amber Barrett, Emily Barrett, Madison Vickery, Justin Philps, Tyler Wisemann, Andrew Wisemann, and Kyle Wisemann. His heart swelled with pride and love for his great-grandson, William Vickery, who carried forward the Barrett legacy into a new generation.
A man of dedication and skill, Brian spent his career as a quality engineer with General Electric, where his meticulous nature and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact. His professional life was complemented by his personal dedication to the community and his faith. Brian was a devoted Catholic, and as a young man, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, an honor that foreshadowed his lifelong commitment to guiding and mentoring youth. His contributions as a scoutmaster and youth baseball coach were a testament to his generous spirit and his desire to nurture and inspire future generations.
Brian's life was filled with simple joys and deep passions. He adored his faithful dog Gracie, whose companionship brought him immeasurable comfort and happiness. His love for his family was rivaled only by his devotion to them, and his legacy will be carried forward by those he so dearly loved.
As we remember Brian, we celebrate a life marked by unwavering love, dedication, and service. His warmth, kindness, and integrity touched all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends.
