BRIAN HUTCHERSON (HUTCH)

June 16, 1958 — June 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Hutcherson, lovingly known as "Hutch," who left this world peacefully on June 1, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Hutch was born on June 16, 1958, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, where he spent a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Hutch was the beloved son of the late Eli H. Hutcherson, fondly called Teddy, and Vivian, lovingly known as Anita. He was predeceased by his devoted parents, his brother Shaun, and his sister Caprice. Hutch's legacy of love and kindness continues to thrive through his surviving family: his dedicated wife Muriel, affectionately known as Dede, his cherished children; son Brian Jr., known as Lil B, daughters Dashawna (Shawna) and Gina, and his treasured granddaughters Marshawna, Olivia, and Kaitlyn. Hutch also leaves behind his loving siblings, sister Tamara, brother Donald (Donnie), brother Gary, sister Alicia (Lisa), brother Daryl (Currie), and sister Celeste, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and very, very close friends. A man of many passions, Hutch's heart beat in rhythm with the tunes of oldies, and his spirit soared when surrounded by the rumble of classic cars. His fondness for his 1968 Chevys was legendary, a love affair that began in childhood and never waned. His mechanical prowess was admired by many, as he spent countless joyful hours working on cars. Hutch was a man who embraced life with a smile and a joke, always ready to brighten the room with laughter. His love for family and friends was boundless, and his warm presence was a constant source of joy and comfort. An avid sports enthusiast, Hutch's allegiance lay with his beloved Lakers and Dodgers, teams he cheered for with unwavering devotion. Above all, Hutch's heart belonged to his granddaughters, for whom he would do anything. The love he showered upon them was immense, and his dedication to their happiness knew no bounds. Hutch's playful spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him. A celebration of Hutch's life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM, a gathering where stories will be shared, laughter will echo, and Hutch's vibrant spirit will be honored. As we remember Hutch, let us carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to honor Hutch's memory do so by embracing life's simple joys, cherishing loved ones, and sharing a joke to brighten someone's day. Hutch's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. Rest in peace, beloved Hutch. You will forever be missed and cherished.
