Brian Anthony Hebert

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Anthony Hebert, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on August 7, 2026. Born on January 14, 1956, Brian blessed this world with his vibrant spirit and unwavering love for family and friends. Brian was the cherished son of the late Roland Hebert Sr. and Cecile "Sue" Hebert DeRoche, and step-son to the late Herbert "Speedy" DeRoche. He is predeceased by his siblings, Susan Convenuto and Roland "Tuppy" Hebert Jr., as well as his brothers-in-law, Joey Dantin and Alfred Convenuto, and in-laws Henry, Joyce, and Earline Mauthe'. His niece, Natalie Hebert, also preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 29 years, Cindy Hebert, who stood by his side through life's triumphs and trials. Brian's legacy continues through his daughters, Sunnie Verdin (Brock) and Melanie Rodrigue (Jammin), his step-daughters Laurie Jones (Guy) and Stacy Bell (Roy), and his step-son Ben Smith (Cassy). He was the proud grandfather to Alexis, Chance, Claire, Liam, Jack, Elle, Jason, Cole, Zachary, and Tyler, and great-grandfather to Hayes, Halle, Beckham, Brewer, Liam, Charlotte, and Saylor. His godchildren, Stacy Bergeron and Brad Dantin, along with his sisters, Becky Dantin and Carolyn Hebert (Andrew), and his brothers and sister-in-law, Randy, Kenny & Kathy Mauthe', will forever hold him in their hearts. His godmother, Marlene Colter, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews also survive him. Brian was a man of many talents and passions. His natural ability with animals led him to become a skilled horse trainer and dog breeder, and his most cherished moments were spent riding horses with his daughters, Sunnie and Melanie. A gifted tradesman, he worked as an electrician and plumber, always ready to lend a helping hand. Brian found solace and joy in the great outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, surfing, skiing, or simply spending time with his loyal dog, Buddy. A testament to his resilience, Brian was granted a second chance at life twenty-three years ago through the generous gift of LOPA. Known for his warm smile and kind heart, Brian had a contagious laugh that could light up any room. He made everyone feel welcomed and valued, and his honesty earned him deep respect from all who knew him. Above all, Brian's greatest joy was his family, and the cherished memories he created with them will be treasured forever. A service to honor Brian’s life will be held at Sacred Heart Church, located at 1113 LA-55 Montegut, LA 70377. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Tammany Parish Hospital for their compassionate care during Brian's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Brian's memory to a charity of your choice, or to LOPA in honor of the gift of life he received. As his family lovingly states, Brian will be "Forever in our hearts."
