Brenda Sue West, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on November 14, 1949, in the warm embrace of Tennessee’s rolling hills, Brenda was a beacon of love and creativity to all who knew her. Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late Lewis and Rena Coe Stewart, whose nurturing and kindness she carried forward throughout her life. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Barry West; her dear daughter, Kimberli Pierce; and her cherished sister, Linda Johnson. Brenda's heart was vast, and though it bore the weight of these losses, it was continually filled with the love and joy of her surviving family. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted son, Randy West, and her son-in-law, Derrick Pierce, who both admired her strength and compassion. Her legacy continues with her grandson, Kyler Pierce, and granddaughter, Chanell Bonior, who both inherited her warmth and creativity. Brenda's joy was further extended by her great-grandchildren, Peyton and Sammy, who brought laughter and light into her later years. Brenda had a natural gift for crafts, a hobby that she pursued with unyielding passion. Her home was a tapestry of her creations, each piece a testament to her patience and skill. Her crafts were more than just objects; they were expressions of her love and creativity, shared generously with friends and family. She found joy in sharing her knowledge, often gathering family and friends to teach them the art of creating beauty from the simplest of materials. Her life was a testament to the power of love and creativity, touching the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. Brenda's spirit was one of resilience and grace, qualities that she instilled in her family, who will carry her memory forward with each new chapter of their lives. Her home was always open, and her heart even more so; she welcomed everyone with a smile and a comforting embrace. As we celebrate Brenda’s life, we remember her not only for the beautiful things she created but for the beautiful life she lived. Her legacy is not just in the crafts she made but in the love she sowed in the hearts of those who knew her. Brenda's memory will forever remain a guiding light, her love an unending source of comfort. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Brenda's life, where stories will be shared, and her memory honored in the warm and loving spirit she so embodied in life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Brenda's name to a local craft guild or charity of your choice, to continue spreading the joy and creativity that Brenda shared so freely. May Brenda Sue West rest in eternal peace, her soul forever crafting beauty in the heavens above.
