It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Brenda Lou Brewer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Brenda was born on November 22, 1952, in Morgantown, WV, to Harris B. and Florence (Sanders) Newcome. She peacefully departed this world on February 18, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Brenda's life was a testament to love and devotion. On March 5, 1976, she married her soulmate, Dean D. Brewer, Jr. Their nearly fifty years of marriage were marked by unwavering partnership and numerous cherished memories. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and kindness.
Brenda was the proud mother of two children who were the light of her life: Timothy D. Brewer and his wife Shauna, and Diana Ellen (Brewer) Mauller. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she was deeply loved by her grandchildren: Kara Ellen Beegle, Randall Lee Beegle Jr., Wesley Dean Brewer, Aurora Arizona Mauller, Zoe Elizabeth Casto, and Zayne Bacchus Casto. Each grandchild was a precious gem in her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Brenda's family roots were strong and deeply cherished. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Ralph Darrel Newcome, Sr., Dale Edward Newcome, and Mike Newcome, whom she held dear in her heart. She is survived by her loving brother, John Newcome, and her devoted sisters, Wyonetta Greaser and Cecilia McDonald, who were her lifelong companions and confidantes.
Brenda found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid gardener, nurturing her flowers and plants with care and patience. Her garden was a reflection of her love for nature and her nurturing spirit. Brenda never turned down a sweet treat and delighted in sharing desserts with those around her. Music was one of her greatest comforts, often filling her home with melodies that mirrored her vibrant personality.
Known for her kindness, quiet strength, and the ability to make others feel loved, Brenda leaves behind a legacy that will be treasured by all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, each carrying a piece of her gentle spirit with them.
In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Brenda's life, where her family will celebrate the incredible woman she was and the indelible mark she left on the world.
Brenda Lou Brewer's life was a beautiful symphony of love, joy, and grace. Her spirit will continue to bloom in the lives of her loved ones, much like the flowers she so tenderly cared for in her garden. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will endure forever.
