Brenda left this world peacefully on September 17, 2026, at the age of 60. She was born on December 14, 1965, in HopeWell, Virginia, to her devoted parents, Geneva and Linwood Shaw. Brenda was a vivacious spirit, known for her infectious smile and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She was the life of every party, always ready to spread happiness and laughter. Her ability to make others smile was a gift she shared generously, and her warmth and kindness were felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Family was the cornerstone of Brenda's life. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Geneva and Linwood Shaw, and her dear sister, Gennett Jones. Brenda is survived by her cherished brother, Linwood Shaw, and her devoted children, Gennise Jones and Brian Jones. Her legacy of love and strength continues through her eight grandchildren: Arianna, Deyonna, Kishawn, Geniyah, Sakiyah, Amina, Elijah, and Bralyn, and her precious great-grandchild, Ziymear. Brenda's grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she devoted herself entirely to their happiness and well-being. Brenda's life was a testament to unconditional love and unwavering support. She was always there for her loved ones, ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear at any time. Her family was her everything, and she took immense pride in being their guiding star. A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held on October 22, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Temple of Praise in Washington, DC. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her remarkable life and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
