In Loving Memory

Brenda Jones
April 4, 1948 — May 13, 2026
Brenda Jones, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 13, 2026, at her home in Dallas, Texas. Born on April 4, 1948, in Dallas, Brenda was a beacon of light and compassion to all who knew her.
Daughter of the late James and Barbara Jones, Brenda was the cherished sister to Mary, Christopher, and John. From an early age, she exhibited a nurturing spirit and a readiness to lend a helping hand to those in need, qualities that defined her throughout her life.
On November 17, 1968, Brenda married the love of her life, Charlie Jones. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter for 45 years until Charlie's passing. Their union was blessed with four wonderful children: Charlie Jr. (Khila), Alisha (Chris), Damon (Sarah), and Tanisha, who inherited their mother's caring nature and love for family.
Brenda found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Noah, Margarita, Ashley, Christopher, Tatianna, and Mark, and a great-grandmother to four precious great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
For over three decades, Brenda was a devoted member of the Community Missionary Baptist Church. Her faith was her guiding light, and her church community was an extension of her family. Brenda's compassionate nature was evident in her unwavering commitment to helping anyone in need, whether through her church or in her daily interactions.
Brenda's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. A funeral service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held on May 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, located at 6221 University Hills Blvd, Dallas, TX.
In honor of Brenda's generous spirit, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Brenda’s lifelong dedication to helping others.
As we remember Brenda, we take comfort in her favorite Bible verse, John 14:1-3: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
Brenda Jones will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
